Developmental

Our team is involved in a variety of work in developmental populations from investigating humour in infants, to young children’s understanding of how the mind works, to nonverbal communication in children with autism, Williams syndrome and ADHD, to the role of working memory in academic achievement. We also place a high priority in working with educators to deliver services to help screen and support those with learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We also have links with the Early Years Initiative with the School of Education.

It is with children that we have the best chance of studying the development of logical knowledge, mathematical knowledge, physical knowledge, and so forth.
