Our annual John Damien Lecture, which is an early
evening public talk, was held on the 15th September at 6pm.
This year’s speaker was the renowned memory expert Professor Martin Conway from
The University of Leeds.
Professor Conway has studied human memory for over 25 years and has an international reputation for research into autobiographical memory. He is a memory expert witness and have advised in many legal cases in Crown Courts and at the Royal Courts of Appeal. He has also been consulted on cases internationally.
Professor Conway’s lecture was on ‘Remembering and Forgetting: Autobiographical Memories in Health and in Illness’. A recording of this lecture running alongside the lecture slides can be listened to here.
