I have a first degree in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics. My first masters degree is in Cogntive Science and Natural Language Understanding from Edinburgh. I have second masters degree in Philosophy. I have done graduate research in Philosophy of Mathematics, particularly the work of Frege and Wittgenstein. I started a PhD in 2004, in St Andrews, where I carried out research into computational models of dopamine neurons in the brain of rats. I started here in Stirling in November 2009.

My work is on Brain-imaging, more specifically Spect and Mri. I am investigating new ways of constructing improved brain-atlases using Principal Component Analysis. I am particularly interested in what method we use to extract the exact number of eigen values. I wish to compare PCA, with other methods such as Bootstrapping or Jacknifing. I am particularly interested in examing the changes of brain in diseases like Parkinson and Alzheimer. My research is carried out with joint collobartion with Hermes Medical Ltd.

I have a great interested in all kinds of brain-imaging software, for a variety of modalies. I have also an interest in Dopamine and neurotransmitters in general. I am interested in the modelling of the prediction error in the dopamine signals of rats.
