I obtained a First Class BSc (Hons) in Zoology with Evolutionary Psychology from the University of Liverpool in 2006. My dissertation, under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Little, investigated the perception and attribution of various personality characteristics across specific 'types' of facial stimuli. In 2007 I also completed an MSc in Evolutionary Psychology from the University of Liverpool. I am currently completing a PhD at the University of Stirling under the principal supervision of Dr. Anthony Little and funded by an internal studentship.

The central aim of my PhD is to conduct a comparative investigation into the facial preferences displayed by human and non-human primates (NHP) in the hope of better understanding the evolution of these preferences. My research involves the experimental testing of human, chimpanzee and capuchin visual preferences for faces manipulated across various facial dimensions.
