Professor Rory O'Connor has just been elected to the position of President-Elect of the International Academy for Suicide Research (IASR). The organisation is tasked with the promotion of high quality research and scholarship in the field of suicidal behaviour throughout the world and publisher of the leading international specialist journal, Archives of Suicide Research.  

Psychology, School of Natural Sciences is offering a post-doctoral research assistant post to work with Professor Rory O’Connor and Dr Christopher Armitage (University of Sheffield) on a Chief Scientist Office-funded project entitled ‘A volitional helpsheet (VHS) to reduce hospital treated self-harm: a randomised study’.
